Wealth addiction. Abuse comes in many forms. We’ve heard about all the usual ways to abuse others or oneself. Addictions are tricky. They don’t always appear as the malady they are. I’ve looked at fat people who complain how others look at them and wondered why they need others to help them cover up the abuse they were doing to their own bodies. But, the abuse of money is one that most people will not see or acknowledge in any way. It is sanctified by our society, by most all the societies of the world.
The Article on Wealth Addiction:
This is a long article, but it should be read word for word by every person who is breathing. The trick is to see what IS rather than what you think you see. Very hard to do. Most people do not do it. They see only what they want to see or what they are told to see. Survival of the fittest? No. It’s more survival of the wittiest. The one who can trick others or yourself into doing the unthinkable without blinking. Society’s deepest sorrow.
Here’s another man with the courage to do what’s right. Just like young eight year old Tyler Doohan who saved 6 from a fire and lost his life trying to save more. At least Sam Polk lives to tell us his tale and what he learned from being burned. Don’t miss the message here. Listen to him talk and apply the message to your life.
Do yo measure up?
I think I do. I would love to have more than enough money to do all the things I dream of. BUT, I am NOT willing to do some of the things that I could do to make that fortune. I know some of the things and people who are blocking my fortune, but I do not hold any resentment or bitterness towards those who do nor towards God. They know not what they do. And, if they do, perhaps they don’t have the courage to do what’s right. Perhaps some day they will, like Sam Polk. I can only hope that sharing Sam’s message will help someone to see their dilemma and get the courage to act.
New life starts here.
