In case you haven’t seen the daybreak yet, although many have, I’m officially announcing a New Dawn! We are witnessing the social breaking of traditions past and a new order of the right of parenthood! There wasn’t a bloody battle, not even a skirmish. But, these parents are leading the way to a new world where children are not only heard, but listened to and allowed to act on their own lives. Hallelujah! A New Dawn! Read this article and see what I’m talking about.<\/p>\n

I understand the controversy. I have children having children now and my generation of fathers didn’t do these things with their children. There is reason for every myth, legend, stereotype and thought pattern. It was set in place by reality at the time it was forged. That’s where it’s coming from, but the great thing is that some of these are going the way of the dinosaur with the new habits and thought patterns of the parents and society around them who are actually part of the lives of their family. Both moms and dads.<\/p>\n

Moms are letting go of housework to play with their kids. Bravo! I had to learn that lesson while my kids were growing up, much to my regret and their having to play alone. My daughter-in-law is not doing it that way. She is taking advantage of the short time she has to play with her son. My son took paternity leave, what they would give him, and stayed home with his wife and son when he was born. The mere fact that the companies are giving maternity and paternity leave is sign that we as a society are beginning to see what’s really important in all our lives.<\/p>\n

My heart warms with gladness every time I see a picture like this and hear my children playing with my children. It’s going in the right direction, so don’t hate the naysayers. They lived in a different world. They need to be sure it is what it is. Just keep doing what you’re doing and the naysayers will go away with joy and happiness in their hearts. Thank you, parents for showing us a better way and keep up the good work!<\/p>\n

Thank you, Doyin Richards, for posting this so we could all take a step back and see how far we’ve come! And thank you for making your daughters happy. And thanks to all the parents of this generation who are seeing their responsibility in a new light and taking it to a higher level. Society is enriched. <\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps this could lead to world peace. <\/span><\/p>\n
